where can you hire punts?

You can hire them in cambridge - to punt round the backs or to Granchester. Think its something like £10 ph to self-punt..and muuch more for tour with someone punting you. Think its similar in oxford, ie you can hire them. But all I know is about Cambridge and there are loads of places along the river!

robin, are you thinking of punting somewhere else besides Oxford, Cambridge or The Thames? What about asking a punting company like Scudamores in Cambridge if they know of any companies local to your area? is there some sort of punting association for fans of this pastime?
