Have just been to school to pick up ds1 - I am good friends with two other Mums, we all have boys the same age and we all stand together and have a chat in the playground. Anyway one was missing - so we were a bit concerned as she is never late. We have an agreement that if one of us isn't there, the other two will hang on to their child, so we waited for her son to come out.
Anyway, his teacher came out first for a quiet word and said his Mum fell down the stairs this morning and broke her arm really badly. She is in the operating theatre right now. She was on her own too - must have had to get to the phone to call for help It's scary isn't it, the thought of having an accident when you are on your own or with a baby/small child?
So I don't know any more than that, our other friend took her son home as she lives nearer, and his Grandad is going to pick him up later. he just knows his Mummy has hurt her arm - we didn't tell him any more than that.
Just feel kind of shaken up - please be careful on the stairs!!
