What a load of shit!

I thought it would be more like Mythbusters

pmsl!

YOu are about to get lynched by screaming hoardes of Richard Hammond fans

Blandmum · 14/09/2006 20:45

All the kids think it is great, in school.

Loada shite.

OP posts:
southeastastra · 14/09/2006 20:45

Blandmum · 14/09/2006 20:46

basicaly blow things up and laugh as if it is the funniest thing in the world.

OP posts:
Blandmum · 14/09/2006 20:47

They have a test the expert thing, when kids ask him questions, and he is shite as well

Me & my boys LOVE Brainiac. so there!

southeastastra · 14/09/2006 20:48

i am addicted to 'how it's made' i love it

Olihan · 14/09/2006 20:49

But it's one redeeming feature is that it's co presented by Richard Hammond. The Hamster RULES!!!

Have to agree though, programme is a barrowload of shite.

southeastastra · 14/09/2006 20:49

i was thinking about sockmonkey today, that's weird, also the deja vu thread weird

Blandmum · 14/09/2006 20:50

barrowload of shite with a wonky wheel

OP posts:
southeastastra · 14/09/2006 20:51

what is! haha

Bucketsofdinosaurs · 14/09/2006 20:52

Um I quite fancy Jon Tickle in a weird schoolish way, he's just the kind of annoying smartarsed type I used to go for. Not enough to watch a whole show mind.

Blandmum · 14/09/2006 20:54

Phah! I spurn him for being unable to explain why you can't digest sweetcorn, in less than 90 seconds (that is, explain, not digest it)

for all you hamster fans (me included) if you are that way inclined there is a cross stitch pattern for him in septembers issue of quick & easy cross-stitch. (it says so in Heat magazine)

Don't all rush to the newsagents at once

Bucketsofdinosaurs · 14/09/2006 21:24

Eh? You can cross stitch him on to a cushion so you can sit on his face?

2plus2plus1 · 14/09/2006 21:29

I actually like about 30% of the show - the rest winds me up - but I am a scientist & none of the 'exeriments' they ever show would ever stand up a lab. I do quite like the things in a microwave bit though...

I record on Sky+ & watch an hours episode in about 20mins whizzing through the crap...

I do love "how its made " & "mythbusters" too. Have been on maternity leave for a while though and they keep repeating the episodes I have seen . Either that or I just watch it too much...

Skribble · 14/09/2006 22:38

Kids love it because they blow things up and do lots of daft things, DH likes it because they blow things up and have lots of boobs.

Boobs bit annoys me, totlay not needed, the blowing things up is enough to keep ht guys watching.

sockmonkey · 15/09/2006 16:09

Bucketofdinosaurs - Yes you could make him into a cushion. The Hamster is loved by all walks of life I guess.

They seem to have toned down the boobs this series though on Brainiac. DS1 loves will it glow or will it blow... he even copies he accent, and does a thums up. TTB on a thursday is not as good as the "proper" show

How can you have Dom without Dick?? Dom & John just have no chemistry... excuse the pun!

Holidaymum · 15/09/2006 16:11

Bad news for Hamster fans, he's left new series to be hosted by.........Vic Reeves! S'true!!!

beckybrastraps · 15/09/2006 16:14

Poor scientific method, but lots of scantily clad women to make up for it.

sockmonkey · 15/09/2006 16:14

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!

Please don't be true.

Still...there is TopGear back in the autumn

sockmonkey · 15/09/2006 16:16

No to Hamster leaving... not to poor scientific method

Holidaymum · 15/09/2006 16:18

Tis true was on the BBC so it must be! Gutted!

JustaName · 15/09/2006 16:21

I don't especially like RH - but I think he was suited to the show. Vic Reeves - I just can't see it.
