URGENT WORDING HELP NEEDED!!!!

OK - I'm supposed to have printed out some little pieces of paper to stick to the invites for DS1's birthday party to tell people to make sure they're wearing socks (he's having it at this place and they won't allow any children on the play equipment without socks on).

DH thinks

"PLEASE BRING SOCKS" (or something to that effect)

I think

"NO PLAYING ALLOWED WITHOUT SOCKS" (of something along those lines)

DH will be home soon - I've still got the kitchen to tidy and need to get changed for work and I have to have these printed out before I go!!!!

I would be firm about the socks. You don't want the kids crying because they didn't realise it was important.

HRHQueenOfQuotes · 07/09/2006 20:49

So what should I write???

"Please bring socks" should cover it. And pack extras for those who don't read important small print!

southeastastra · 07/09/2006 20:51

you could put 'please remember to wear socks or we won't be allowed on the equipment!' and bring extra socks in case

Charleesunnysunsun · 07/09/2006 20:51

you could put

PAULS PIRATES DOES NOT ALLOW CHILDREN TO PLAY WITHOUT SOCKS.

HRHQueenOfQuotes · 07/09/2006 20:53

ArGHHH - you're all supposed to agree on one LOL.

I'll check back in about 10 minutes (once I've tidied the kitchen and written names on the invites) to see what the consensus is

I do agree about taking extra socks though.

southeastastra · 07/09/2006 20:57

'please bring socks' is the best, short and to the point

nooka · 07/09/2006 21:16

I agree with Charleesunnysunsun people need to know why the children need socks, then they are less likely to forget (I would bring some spares even so!). Also then it's clear it's not you requiring them, but the play place. It's not unusual, so I wouldn't worry about offending people!

I agree -- "PAULS PIRATES DOES NOT ALLOW CHILDREN TO PLAY WITHOUT SOCKS". But bring a few spares anyway to avoid tears IMO.
