Went to put the bins out, only to find that they are crawling with maggots (been away and someone forgot to put the rubbish out for the bin men...) Anyhow, while I was standing there firing my Dettox gun and pouring boiling water on the bloody things, I noticed a spider (about an inch long) with a creamy beige body and a dark red, shiny head. It made a swift getaway under a bit of paving stone. WTF? Have never seen anything like it in this county. Any ideas? (ALmost made a Steve Irwin joke then but didn't. Found myself really saddened by his death - laugh all you want OCD.)
