you know those tiny little flies that suddenly appear when the bananas go over-ripe

where do they come from?

do they come from the banana

they don't exist any other time but suddenly an over-ripe banana and the fruit bowl is infested with them

I have got those little fuckers all around my fruit bowl as well! I didn't know it was the bananas!! Bugger me. I'm off to throw the horrible overripe things in the bin.

AND dh has just found mites in our giant jar of millet so we've got to chuck the lot Luckily there aren't any in the quinoa or the couscous [phew]
