MIL's 50th Birthday - Need gift idea's

MIL's 50th is in October and am really struggling with what to get her. She is a very young 50, she looks no older than 40, most people can't believe she is 50 this year. BIL wants to buy her a pink diamond ring (she has wanted one for ages aparently), not sure what other 2 BIL's are doing.
Cannot all chip in for a gift as BIL is set on getting this ring - so do we go for a piece of jewelery that would match or do we go for something completely different.

Looking to spend in the region £150 which is what we spent on my mums 50th a few years ago.

All idea's welcome

Didn't really want to do the photo route, we only got married in July and BL is getting married in June so there will be lots of pics about over the coming months.
Private Dinner Party - Good idea, will look into
Tickets to West End Show - would be good apart from FIL has passed away so MIL doesn't have anyone to go with really, although we would happily take her i think she would feel a bit like a fish out of water.
tickets for next years wimbledon centre court - sports not her thing at all.
pair of jimmy choos - FANTASTIC - She would love us forever, she is really into shoes, handbags etc - have looking into maybe getting her a really lovely bag.
fab jewllery box - Not huge on jewelery, most of it is junk but suppose she needs somewhere to keep the pink diamond.

Experience Day might be an idea - was thinking about maybe arranging a shopping day, she absolutely loves shopping - could hit all the cool shops in London and then go for a posh lunch. Only trouble is that I will be 9 months pregnant so not sure how much I can manage.

Any more ideas?

What about a haircut at a top salon ?

Have looked and we can get a cut with Trevor Sorbie for £200. DH thinks it's not special enough 'just getting your hair cut', tried to explain that getting your hair but by someone like Trevor Sorbie is not an everyday occurance for most people but he doesn't get it.

Foghornleghorn, was just about to suggest a really good leather bag, my MIL bought me one for my 50th birthday this year. I chose it :a beautiful dark brown, very plain, large, several internal silk-lined pockets, from Hobbs.

I think it cost approx £200 but was a million times better value than Mulberry.

Thanks TRC, I really wanted to go down the bag route but was looking at the likes of Fendi/Chloe but no way we could afford an original from the shop and don't trust ebay to be genuine. Will look at Hobbs.
