really pathetically silly dilemma. my dd has a party this afternoon - day before school starts. she doesn't want to go unless i stay for the whole party. i have a younger son and don't want to do this - always feel it is not much appreciated if mother and other kids hang aroudn also she is 5.5 and should be able to go alone. but she is quite unsociable, has no specific friends at school so part of me wants her to go and touch base with people before tomorrow. part of me wants to keep this afternoon stress and chocolate free to ensure a better day tomorrow. i can't see this straight. help
