Why are internet pages taking so long to upload - MNing is becoming impossible - shock horror

I cleaned up the PC so it should be running to its optimum but the internet is so slow - just been like this for a few days. Someone help me or won't be able to MN tonight and then what will I do? Ironing?????? Never....

mn is often slow for me too while other sites are ok is it mn maybe?

Mine is doing exactly the same Kbear and was doing yesterday as well (we got back from 10 day holiday yesterday I couldn't get into hotmail or mumsnet) What provider are you with maybe its a fault in our area?

sometimes the servers get overloaded with the volume of people trying to get onto certain sites, maybe a busy time for your page/network

(btw am not even a small bit technically minded!)

Seems better today but it wasn't just MN that was slow, was driving me crackers.

NTL too Kbear and mine is working better today as well normal. The page that came up quickly yesterday was google.
