To the tune of 'Head, shoulders, knees and toes'
When she was a baby, at bedtime:-
Nappy, jammies tittie bed (tittie bed)
Nappy, jammies, tittie bed (tittie bed, oh)
Nappy, jammies, tittie, bed
Nappy, jammies tittie bed (tittie bed)
I occasionally heard my husband singing it all by himself...
As her routine changed it grew to:-
Teeth, bath, jammies, story, bed ... etc.
She still thinks that the owl in The Owl and the Pussycat sings 'oh lovely , oh my love, what a beautiful you are'. We put her name into as many songs as possible, like 'My Bonnie lies over the ocean'.
As soon as she could talk she started to adapt songs and rhymes herself, eg 'we're going on a SOCK hunt, we're going to find some PINK ones'
Marina, love your bathtime anthem...definitely going to use that!
