Can anyone help, my ds will be 3 in November but is still in 18-24 trousers and sometimes they are miles too big, they fit him in the leg but are starting to get a bit short but just fall down round the waist. Can anyone suggest shops or brands where I can buy some jeans/trousers which will be a slim fit. Thanks

I've discovered that tesco have started doing trousers with adjustable waists (like the ones you get in some maternity trousers). These are good for my skinny, to be 3 in november DS .

H and M, Gap , M and S all do adjustable waist trousers witht he button elastic. Also have found some Next trousers a narrower cut on the hips/waist. If all else fails a elasticated belt from H and M or threading more elastic through the waistband can do the trick.

Adams & Primark also do adjustable waist trousers.

Someone gave my DS jeans for christmas that were far too skinny round the waist and too long in the leg - so might be perfect. They were little Rocha, from Debenhaams (la-di-da! but not that expensive I believe)

PS I would send you them but they're 12-18mo so will be too small.

Thanks I had heard the rocha ones were a bit skinny so I'll try them thanks for the offer snowleopard

Adustable waists are good. My ds also has a little boys snake belt which we use a lot and he loves.

GAP

dd ahs a little Rocha skirt with button elastic waistband . Jasper Conran at Debenhams can be on the skinnier cut side too.

How do they cope with belts and going to the loo?

Ds manages the snake belt fine - it's quite easy. I got it from Ebay here. Loads of colours and the size adjusts too.

The H and M ones are wide elastic so they don't need to undo them just pull down !
