Steve Irwin was killed by a sting ray barb whilst filming a documentary on the Great Barrier Reef.
I always thought he was a bit dotty in getting down and dirty with some of nature's most dangerous animals but he was hugely entertaining and my kids loved him! (We learned something from him too, can't be bad!)
