Briefly, dd1 went to a friends house for tea yesterday after school. I found out this morning friends brother was being sick the whole time dd1 was there!!!! At 2pm today, call from school, dd1 unwell, come and get her. We are going on a 6000 mile jorney on Sunday to see dhs family, friends Mummy knows this. It's not too much to expect that she could have called me when her son started to chuck is it!!! I'm fuming!!! Poor dd1 wrapped up in 5 layers/hot water bottle/still shivering 1hr after Nurofen. Just hope the rest of us don't get it. Aaarghhh.

This bug seems to be doing the rounds. Dh is just getting over it and was quite poorly. Poor dd1 and poor you!

That is rotten Batey - But the odds are your DD had already caught it before this womans child starting spewing.
Hopefully it's just a 24hr thing.

There is definitely a bug going round. Ds2 had it at the weekend, dh came home from work early yesterday and started throwing up and ds1 woke at 3am this morning being sick. My washing machine is nearly worn out.
Guess it's me next

And yes batey, I think she should have called you.

jimmychoos · 25/03/2004 16:31

Isn't it Charles Kennedy's bug? I know loads of people who've had it. My sympathies. I agree the mum should have sent your dd home.

hmb · 25/03/2004 16:34

I'd forgotten that CK got it. With dh is was sickness and pain in the stomach, no temp but feeling very cold and shivery. I had a very mild dose and threw up and felt lousy for a day

batey · 25/03/2004 17:39

Obviously I can't be sure where she got it, but she could at least called me and let us decide, rather than dd1 being in contact/sharing loo with sick boy for 3hrs! Normally I'd try and take it as one of those things, but with a 13hr flight ahead of us it's the last thing we need. Hopefuly dd1 will be over the worst in the next 48hrs. How long did most peoples bug last? Her son is still sick today...to the point where she asked me to pick up her dd from school for her!

So much gastroenteritis around St Georges in London closed their paed A&E at weekend. I had it for 24 hours, baby now had it for 24 hours (hope over soon). Hey ho, suppose have done quite well to get to 8 months before being covered in baby sick...

Batey, it's short and nasty. I know, we've all had it. Commiserations and hope you don't get a bad dose. Dd (7 months) was very bad with it, the rest of us less so. Better out than in...
