How long could you be

Sorry - quotes are only because I can't think of what else to call it.
I first thought of this when I heard about that poor woman and her three kids in Manchester who may have been dead for up to 4 weeks before anyone noticed they were missing, and was reminded of it again this evening when I heard the husband was arrested.
I just can't comprehend how no-one noticed that they were missing or not responding to communication. My family all lives in Ireland, yet I have contact with at least one of them on a daily basis. My DH's family on the other hand live about an hour away, yet they could go regularly for a week without talking (which I find strange) but any longer than a week and even they would have alarm bells ringing.
So I guess my question is, without it meaning to be too morbid, how long would it be before someone noticed something was amiss chez vous?

hopefully only a day, as if dh is working away he calls every day at least twice a day, and has said if he couldn't get hold of me, he'd ring friends/my parents etc to check I was ok.....however if he were to bump me off, it could be a few days before you lot reported me missing or people realised I wasn't answering text's n calls etc.....

Not long , I have a neighbour who lives in her window! Usually see My Mam a least once a day, know most of the neighbours and usually speak to at least one of my friends every day, and think work would notice even if it was just the kid I support!

DP (who lives 200 miles away) would notice and worry that i wasn't replying to texts after a few hours. But wouldn't act on it for a day or two probably.
My mum wouldn't notice for a week or two.
Everyone else... weeks.
