DS has been screaming all morning if he isn't being held. I've been trying to get the house straight. DD is being a spoilt brat yelling "I WANT" at me lots and arguing back.

I am meant to be out shopping for DH's birthday tomorrow, but there is no way that I am taking them to a shop, so I'm just going to have to go when he gets home.

Final straw, DD asked to stay quiet downstairs for 2 mins (which she is perfectly capable of doing) whilst I tried to get DS to sleep - she came yelling upstairs, yelled "NO!" when I asked her to go outside quietly and wait, which in turn made DS yank off my nipple.

She is now shut behind the gate in her room yelling at me, DS is in his crib screaming because he can't fall asleep, and I am trying to work out how much wine I would be able to drink to drown them out and be capable of going to the shop later.

oliveoil · 30/08/2006 15:51

loudly

louding ffs

ilovecaboose · 30/08/2006 15:52

Have you got somewhere where you can't hear them? E.g. a garden? If so go out there with a cup of tea for 10-15 minutes - use earplugs if necessary. Try to relax, take deep breaths and then go back in.

shhhh · 30/08/2006 15:53

fs, go outside for some fresh air before murder is committed...

Both will come to no harm if left alone for a few mins (as long as safe in their rooms). In fact it may even help them to calm down.

You need a break so take one now.

juuule · 30/08/2006 15:54

Well while they are crying they are tiring themselves out and it will stop. It can't go on forever. Take a deep breath and then see if you can settle them again. Just hold on in there, it'll pass and as they say 'tomorrow is another day'.
Much sympathy going your way.

fireflyfairy2 · 30/08/2006 15:54

Will bouncy B watch some TV?

If she will then you might be able to settle the lil guy a bit better?

Flamesparrow · 30/08/2006 15:59

DS back in my arms, DD watching charlie and lola.... although she'll be back upstairs if she says "I want an ice lolly" again

Flamesparrow · 30/08/2006 16:42

DS is finally asleep. I am completely ignoring DD because it is that or shake her.

Sat huddled in snuggly blanket focussing on MN

Flamesparrow · 30/08/2006 18:53

shhhh · 31/08/2006 16:45

How did dh birthday go..?? I know what it's like on the id/alcohol front..! Tesco refussed to sell it to me..apparently their policy is if you don't look over 21 they need id even though you need to be 18 to drink it..!!!

I was quite impressed, having dd with me it made my day .!! I'm 27 btw..!
DH found it amussing..!

LOL I thought you were going to say they wouldn't sell any to you because you were to drunk . Now that would be funny..!!!!!!

Flamesparrow · 01/09/2006 09:08

When I read it back I realised that that was how it looked

I didn't start on the wine until AFTER I got back from Asda (was buying the alcohol for DH because he didn't like the wine we had). I got some from Thresher in the end (who served me ). Birthday went well

Much happier today - think PMT has passed!!!!!
