need to send e mail canceling private speech therapy appointment I had booked for friday - what excusae can I give

How long have you been waiting for the NHS appointment ??? Is it for an assessment ??

My DD2 has been referred too, about 2 months ago, but i've heard nothing yet.

Yep. Just send it out pronto in case they've got some principle about paying for cancelled appointments without sufficient notice.
