Not got it myself but heard lots about it - mostly the problem everyone had GETTING it in the first place!

What I mean is, my parents signed up for it nearly four months ago and are still offline - no internet for four months! DH's colleagues waited a long time too. Apparently its something to do with a 'tag' on your phone line - if you have already got broadband and are changing supplier you have to get old supplier to remove the 'tag' - dad's old supplier said they had but Talk Talk said it was still there! Anyway turned out it wasn't there and Talk Talk were in the wrong. Dad went spare over the phone and cancelled it!

The waiting time for changing over should be up to 30 days but so many people are signing up apparently there's a big backlog.

However there's a way round it - if you pay £30 when you cancel with current supplier it goes straight through with no waiting period (or a very short one). So i'd definately recommend doing that if you can.

Sorry I can't tell you if its any good or not once you've got it, but hope it helps a bit.

Our next-door neighbours have got it (we have Tiscali, don't touch them with a bargepole, they have major problems billing.)

Took forever to arrive and they have had to call the helpline a few times where the poor person in the Indian call centre couldn't understand their accents! Luckily for them dh has been able to fix any glitches so far but it would be tough luck if they had to rely on the helpline for anything. Also they were told several arrival dates and each time the date passed they were told it would arrive within 7 days. A lot of 7 days passed!

We signed up for it & had nothing but nightmares from then on in! Firstly they failed to send us a modem, so we couldn't get on-line. We tried to phone & explain the problem & could never get through to speak to anyone, then when we did get through, we were put on hold & then cut off!
We got hold of someone eventually & they said they would send us a modem....they didn't!
We waited a few weeks, still no modem, so asked to cancel. They charged us £70 to cancel, but we were so desperate that we paid the £70 just to be rid of them.
We are now using AOL & have gone back to BT for our telephone, but TALK TALK still keep sending us bills every month!!!
We are having real trouble with them still, & we cancelled 5 months ago!
I would NEVER reccomend anyone going with them!

Talk Talk are rubbish.

I went on the phone with them and then mobile and spent have the time on the phone trying to speak to a person that could help me. Basically if you have problems then you'll have to wait a very very long time before you get it fixed.

I'm with orange for bband and have not had one problem

Their 'customer service' is non existent. Don't go near them.
