if it's warm can't she wear her summer dresses? she hasn't grown that much in the last six weeks?

oh go on, don't tell me, you all buy brand new uniform every year and sew name tags on and your dcs all turn up for the new term looking like shiny pins of cared-for-ness

I'm with you - all washed and ironed but no need for new unless it's been worn out or grown out.
Pencil cases, however, are a different matter [sigh]...

I'm with you all. Had to buy new shoes but thats about it for now. Summer dresses to go back in hopefully, will summer come back?

KateF · 22/08/2006 17:17

I've just clicked that I don't actually need to go and buy more socks just because it's a new year! Mine are going back in summer dresses and last term's socks

Cappuccino · 22/08/2006 17:17

nothing but shoes here - even my new sstarter in Reception isn't getting new stuff - he's wearing ds1's cast-offs

nikkie · 22/08/2006 20:32

My dd1 has grown out of everything, dd2 starts reception but wrecked last years uniform and hasn't grown into dd1s yet , so new all round

LIZS · 22/08/2006 20:38

Shoes mainly here - all done now except soccer boots. May also need the ballet kit if dd likes it. Much of our uniform was second hand (did one or two of each new for best and the rest from 2nd hand shop) but it still cost around £500 to kit them out last year so in no hurry to do it again.
