bran · 21/08/2006 10:08

Yes Schneebly, and that's not even the really expensive part. Down by the coast the prices are truly scary, if that same house were down there it would probably be over £2 million, more if it had a sea view.

Cappuccino · 21/08/2006 10:08

does anyone else's have stables? Mine has stables

I wonder if you get to keep the flag as part of the sale?

iota · 21/08/2006 10:08

just outside MK

Northerner · 21/08/2006 10:10

Where are you notanotter?

schneebly · 21/08/2006 10:10

I live in a 3 bed semi in a rural setting with a decent sized garden and parking space out front - guess how much it is worth? £50k! It would probably be worth £70 with a new roof and some preening. We paid a lot less for it though!

hulababy · 21/08/2006 10:10

Try again!

Cheapest house I managed to find so far in the city is 2 bed house at Conningsby Road for £54k

iota · 21/08/2006 10:12

stables but will cost you £1.7 million

Tutter · 21/08/2006 10:12

schneebly it is upsetting for some of us to hear that kind of talk you know

UnquietDad · 21/08/2006 10:13

Sheffield is indeed weird. If you take the bog-standard three-bed terrace as your measure, it can be £60K, £100K or £140K depending on - let's be honest - which school catchment it's in.

Tutter · 21/08/2006 10:13

thinking of putting an offer in - what do you think?

Tutter · 21/08/2006 10:14

goddamn that place is fugly

Gingerbear · 21/08/2006 10:15

from the sublime to the rediculous

hulababy · 21/08/2006 10:15

UnquietDad - there is real postcode snobbery in Sheffield! In S10 and S11 you'll pay even more for a 3 bed terrace. I think the schools make a big difference as the good and the not so good can be world's apart here.

Cappuccino · 21/08/2006 10:16

yeah tutter and the indoor pool's pretty damn small for that price

iota · 21/08/2006 10:16

cheapest in MK

Tutter · 21/08/2006 10:16

gingerbear you could buy 3,500 of those pontefract houses for the price of the bijou residence below (if my sums are correct)!

Tutter · 21/08/2006 10:17

cappuccino, i think they're having a laugh - i'd expect 6 swimming pools as a minimum for my £70m

Northerner · 21/08/2006 10:19

at that £70m one. Is is a hotel or what?

OP posts:
katzg · 21/08/2006 10:20

hulababy has beaten me too the cheapest, just going to see if i can find a cheaper one

Tutter · 21/08/2006 10:21

northerner, i think it's fair to say that a prince/sheikly type may be the current owner
