Anyone SOLD books on Amazon?

I've got some books I want to get rid of; has anyone used Amazon to sell theirs?

How easy / succesful was it?

Or should I just use Ebay?

Any advice welcome

If they are unusual books, it is easy, quick and you don't pay anything if they don't sell (unlike eBay). However you need to be prepared to post out regularly at quite short notice.

If they are bog standard popular paperbacks I would not bother, really, unless they are in brand new condition.

Thanks FandZ; might give it a try with some before I send them to my mum's car boot sale!

Yes you have nothing to lose but time

It used to be a lot better for sellers on there bu now every bugger is doing it, you have less chance I find.

Second what f and z says about Amazon, DH has sold some medical books on there. If you have got bog standard paperbacks take a look at greenmetropolis.com I have shifted some books on here it isn't loads but if you list what you've got they go in a steady trickle.

Ditto what F&Z says - dh usually has between 200 and 400 books listed on Amazon, and sells about 150 each year, sometimes more; but they are very specialised books and he sends them all over the world.

Our second-hand Dan Brown and so on go straight to the charity shop - it's not worth the effort to try and sell them IME.

I sold loads a couple of years ago and it's very easy. You list them, they email you when they're sold with buyers address, you post them, they pay you once a month or something. I sold loads of hardback novels and paperbacks.

greenmetropolis looks interesting geogteach; might consider that.
