I've been chatting to someone online for a little while. Today I sent him a text for the first time and the phone rang almost immediately afterwards. I didn't answer it and when it stopped ringing I checked the number on google. It came up as one of those companies that rings your mobile phone and tries to get you to take out a contract, but they make you think you're renewing your existing contract.

I thought it must be a coincidence but then realised they had left a message and it was him.

I'm trying to work out now if he's a bit dodgy, or does he work for a dodgy company, is it even worth worrying about?

Depends what the message was I guess? If he was trying to flog you something then yes - conman. If he wanted a normal chat then no - man in dead-end job.

No it was just a normal message, telling me what time he was working until and that he would try and ring later. It just set alarm bells ringing as when I put the number in google it came up with loads of links saying do not answer this number.
