What time do you eat your Dinner / Tea??

So it's 5pm I'm starving i could eat my dinner now (and its all cooked ready so should I??) our family are in and out at all times of day and night due to different work patterns ( some work nights , logistic nightmare ) What time do you eat in your house??

5pm is way too early for me. How do you get to be hungry by then? Do you not eat lunch or eat it very early?

We usually eat between 6.30 and 7pm.

Well today, breakfast was fruit, lunch 1 x slice of marmite on toast with mug shot and now chomping on a pear to try to last another hour. i have been up since 6am and not sat down as yet

No wonder you are hungry. I eat more than that at lunch, and it keeps me full until later.

Hate eating earlier as then I turn into a hobbit and have to have a second dinner.

So what time do you eat your lunch then if you don't eat dinner until 6.30 - 7.30?? and What time do you have a glass of wine??

I eat lunch about 1.30pm. Dc's eat at 12.15 (at school) so have a snack when they come home as they couldn't possibly ever, ever survive until dinner time as they are staaaaaaarving.

How does anyone have time to get dinner ready to eat at 5pm?

We have it at around 7pm normally as I only get in from work at 6, have a sit down for half an hour then make tea so it's ready for 7pm or just after. I'm off work today though so we're having it in about 5 mins.

Normally about 8-ish as I wait for DH to come in from work. Often there have to be earlier sittings due to clubs etc. Ideally I'd like to eat at about 7 as I do get hungry, especially with the children's after school snacks about the place! I try to eat lunch as late as possible so I'm hungry later, often about 2.30.

I succumbed and ate with my starving child,, I don't work much in between school hours ( well other than voluntary work a bit of childminding and running a house) so i have all day to prepare food, and I'm still preparing lunches now for tomorrow. and getting close to a little glass of vino
