We are moving house in a few weeks and I am in the process of getting removal quotes. Someone on here recommended www.helpiammoving.com and on there is a link to a site called moving-quotes.com.

I'm filling in their quote request form (to which I am led to expect 5 quotes) but these forms require a LOT of detail about my home contents.

I can't help but feel a little nervous about giving this level of detail over the net.

Also I presume that this detail is required so that they don't come over to quote - not sure if this is ideal either.

So... anyone used ths site? Any good? Or should I get busy with Ye Olde Yellow Pages?

I would get people to come over to quote - apart from anything else it will take soooo much less time! (you will be there for hours filling in that form)
most removal firms will do you a free quote and are very good at estimating by eye how big a van etc. you need whilst they're looking at your stuff and therefore the quotes will probably be a lot more accurate that one online where you fill in the details yourself. Also you get a good idea of a firm & what kind of service they might provide by who they send round
