I normally only start threads when I'm miserable or have a problem so I thought I'd break the habit and start a thread because I'm happy. Things finally seem to be looking up

I ended up on a date on Saturday night and had the most fantastic time, really liked the guy, not only did I fancy him but we had similar opinions on lots of things and just seemed to talk and talk. Not sure if he liked me but hopefully he'll call.

My DD is just a little star all the time, she's never any trouble, she's always very well behaved and I'm really grateful that I have her.

My xp has stopped being a complete @rse (hope this isn't short term) and has left me alone for a good couple of weeks now.

I threw my toys out of my pram at work last week and things actually seem to be changing.

I truly hope this is a taste of things to come, I feel better today than I have for a long long time. I can't remember the last time I felt optimistic

Great, Fizog! Have a good day. I hope your man calls. That sounds like how I felt just after I met my dh.

Aw that's great Fizog. Good to hear good news on a Monday morning.

motherinferior · 15/03/2004 11:48

Fabulous. Why don't you give him a ring?

nutcracker · 15/03/2004 12:08

Oh good for you, glad things are looking up

Fizog · 15/03/2004 12:20

Thanks for your replies

I would normally call him but when he walked me to my door (from the taxi) it was left that he was going to phone me. I feel like I'd look a bit keen if I called him, especially as he suggested doing it again. If he doesn't call then he doesn't call but I am quietly optomistic that he will.

I went for drinks with a guy from work on Friday night too. He was also lovely but on a completely different level. I really would like to be his friend and get to know him better but I don't want him to get the wrong impression, I seem to always give men the impression that I'm 'interested'. I'm thinking honesty is the best policy on this one and quick. I hope he understands.

Hoorah - glad to hear life, both personnal and professional is looking up Honey XXXX

Fizog, that used to happen to me a lot when I was single too.

I am very friendly and I normally smile and speak to people. There are so many men who think you fancy them when you do that! The worst thing is when they don't fancy you and get all sneery about it. When you explain you were just being friendly it always looks like you are doing a swift back-track.

Just remember, it's not you, it's them!!
