Quick help please where can I find wedding reception venues?

When I come back from holiday in a week me and my dp are going with my mum to view some places for a wedding reception. Its v.hard to get all 3 of us together so hopefully this will be the last hunt. And I need to book appointments to see them by tomorrow.

We want a hotel/restaurant that does it all for us which narrows it down but aside from the obvious few I don't know where to find any more. The wedding planning websites have lists of venues but they basically have the whole of the north in one section and thats a lot to wade through.

I am looking on Teesside BTW.

SG, would Darlington/somewhere in N Yorks be too far away for you?

smurfgirl · 15/08/2006 22:26

Crathorne Hall Hotel

Parkmore Hotel

Judges Country House Hotel

Bear in mind these are coming just off the top of my head....the first three are in Darlington cos that's where I'm from.

Hall Garth Hall is nice.

Been to a wedding at Headlam Hall and it was lovely.

I had my do at Walworth Castle and it was great.

How about here?!

search on the net for weddings. apparently loads come up!

Thanks. We have looked at Crathorne (too expensive!), Parkmore (DP didn't like) and Judges (we LOVE!)

We will definately looking at Hall Garth, it looks lovely. Headlam is too far away I think. Will book to look at Walworth as well.

DP is a Sheffield Wednesday fan so don;t think the riverside would go down well

Thanks x
