Hi, my mum is trying to list something in E bay but the label is in German and she would like it translated by some kindly soul please!
The item is a small bottle with a smaller mug tied to it and a label which says:
doppelt gebrannt.....hemmeter enzian....40%vol Munchen....deutsches erzeugnis
I should be able to do it for her but we're moving house in a couple of weeks and my German dictionary is packed. Thank you !

Double burnt? German product, made in Munchen?
Can't work out the hemmeter enzian bit I'm afraid

I think it means 'Double Fired, 40% vol, Made in Germany' and Enzian is a type of herb liqueur that was inside, brand Hemmeter.

Munich - Made in Germany

A scary trawl through Wikipedia in German reveals that Enzian is a type of schnapps.

just to add to meau - 'gebrannt' is distilled.

Thanks Geekgrrl. I did wonder, but just couldn't find a reference to it meaning distilled. Obviously don't have chunky enough dictionaries (or a fluency in German )

Thanks very much for all your help! If mum lived nearer, I think I would be drinking it down straight from the bottle right now
