How do I find out what Parish I live in - am filling in form for DDs school!!

Look in the phone book and see if you can find a churchnear you.

I thought you went to church anyway? Can't you just write "I attend church X but am unsure whether I live in the parish". otherwise Diocesan information office?

Do you have to be in a certain parish/parishes to get her into the school? If the church you go to is on the list just write that one.

No, maybe your diocesan website is different to ours.

Calm down, don't you have a list with the parishes that feed the school (if it is state)? I'm sure you'll get yur answer. I take it the form is due in soon? Couldn't you fill in the rest of the form and then ask DD's teacher/school receptionist, if priest doesn't get back to you in time? Just say you liked particular church so never bothered to find out if it was "parish" etc?

The priest does not know us me and DD not been going to this one for long - obviously only since she been living with me - so a month or so.

S'not the end of the world if she has to go the next school just want to get this form right or they will think I am an idiot of the first degree!!

Just put the church's name.

You'd be surprised by the priest, I'm convinced they bribe the granny coterie to tell them of any newcomers, esp ones who are pregnant/have kids.
