Best place to live near Inverness

Thinking of moving to Scotland from Kent. Any advice appreciated re best places to raise young family (currently one 3 year old). We love the West Highlands, do not want to be completely cut off, need info on how schools differ, what life would really be like for my young daughter and how easy/hard it is to find jobs that fit around family life.

Are you planning a career change or to continue doing the same thing?

My husband works on the railway and I am full time mum at the moment. I do volunteer in a school and am returning to college to obtain a teaching assistant qualification but for me I am open minded. We are both pretty serious we want to do this but I want to really understand how are lives will change ??

Inverness itself is a great place for families. Definitely consider it unless you are only wanting to live in a wee village.
