Can't you let them go on it anyway? It'll be ok. IME once you've got a bouncy castle you don't need anytihng else.

I agree with www. It is my Ds' 5th birthday tomorrow and he is still having a bouncy castle at his party. Does the castle have a cover on it?

Ooo, thanks yorkshirelass79.

We are having party games as well as the castle and I had not thought of balloon volleyball.

Will have that instead of Pin the Tail .

Thanks everyone.
Will organise a pass the parcel and musical statues sound good.

As for the bouncy castle it does not have a cover, maybe I could put a dust sheet or something over the top. Will it still be ok to use in the rain as is plugged in to the electric?

Hi batoutofhell

My daughter had a party recently and it rained! As most of the children were a mix of both girls and boys I did a couple of arty activities.

  1. Make braceletts - You can buy reasonally priced bags of beads from either Hobbycraft or The Works and also ELC do packs with little cubes with letters on to write names etc.

  2. Make masks - cut out beforehand and string up ready. Lety the children decoeate them with pencils, crayon felt tips etc.

  3. Find the shape - Print out or draw 5 very big shapes Paint or colour them in or cut out of coloured card.

Red Square
Yellow Star
Blue Triangle
Green Rectangle
Orange Circle

Get all the children into a group. Shout the colour. They run to that colour. Keep going until they run off all their energy and are worn out. That way they will sit very nicely while you all eat!

Hope these are helpful !
