Help needed in finding a toy

SimonHoward · 11/03/2004 07:11

My DD recently lost her favorite toy whilst on a bus and I am looking to find a replacement.

The toy in question was from Boots (I think) and was a small soft cloth white rabbit with long floppy ears and had lavender scented crystals in it.

I would love to get another one for her but I can't find any on the internet and now I'm in Germany a lot of the time I don't hav e the chance to go shopping in the UK to find one.

If anyone wants a picture of the bunny in question I can send them one, just e-mail me at [email protected]

Thanks in advance for any and all help in this.

I don't get online that much these days but I will check back as often as I can.

Hello Simon, can't help with the toy but would love to know how you are doing?

Its funny this should come up as I am too looking for a replacement rabbit! On the morning my triplets were born Harry went into M&S and bought them each a soft tiny toy which went into their incubators, this was in 1998. Rebeccas rabbit has gone missing and I am more upset than she is. Does anyone remember them, at that time they were selling a small beige rabbit, a small dog and a small teddy, we had all three. Can anyone help please? In the meantime I will look out for the Boots one!

triplets, I have one. The mindie I look after had one and we lost it, so I appealed on the internet and got two replacements.

I then passed one onto another mum whose little girl had lost hers, and was desolate. She put a large ad in the local paper , reward etc, and we met up outside M&S and handed him over!

They are not made anymore, I went to M&S head ofice, with code numbers, photos etc, I emailed and got photos back until eventually the right one turned up, a bit like the strawberry story!

He is fairly new, just the m&s label is a little tired, but he is perfect.

Contact me via another talker and I'll get him on the post!

Janstar and Tissy

It's nice to be back if only on the odd occassion.

I'm doing ok, ups and downs of life as per usual. The culture shock and adjustment of the new life was difficult at first but I'm getting there, with the help of the g/f, and learning to cope with 2 little girls who are of an age that I have never dealt with before. And all I have to now do is intergrate my DD when she comes over for a month.

Only major problems right now is my x2b playing up over the money we agreed she would have but I gave in to get a peaceful life. Now I just have to wait and see if she decides to change her mind on the only 2 promises she has made to me that she hasn't broken yet.

Thanks to all who will look around for the bunny.

Hello Simon
Can't help with the rabbit - sorry.
Just writing to say that it's good to hear from you again.
Thought you'd gone walkabout.
Glad life is better for you now.

SimonHoward · 12/03/2004 07:33

StuartC

I almost did go walkabout.

As it turned out though Germany is not a bad place to start a new life.

I do keep getting told not to mention the war though

Hi everyone,
Alibubbles very kindly posted me a rabbit, unfortuneatly it is not the same as Becca`s. We are looking for a M&S 1998 small beige all over rabbit with not enormously long ears. Alibubbles was larger and two colours but Rebecca loves it anyway. For sentimental reasons I would love to replace the original one. Thanks!

triplets - I think I may have one of those rabbits - dd had one when she was a baby - she was born in December 1996 so it could be the same style. The one she had was a creamy beige colour - all one colour and sort of lays in it's front, it was definitely from M&S in their baby bit. I will have a rummage when I get home through dd's soft toy basket to see if it is still there - if so I will try and get a picture of him and post for you.

Jaybee · 17/03/2004 16:31

Triplets - trying to describe my bunny - looking at ebay it is laying down like this and not upright like this

triplets · 17/03/2004 19:00

Thanks Jaybee,
How clever of you to think of e-bay, ours is definitely a sitting up one! Thank you anyway.

Jaybee · 18/03/2004 09:20

What a shame - I was sure it was the right one, found him last night and brought him into work with me today although the digital camera needs new batteries so I was unable to get a piccie. Is there any way you could post a picture of the teddy and dog so we can get an idea what we are looking for - I often mooch around charity shops and as I no longer have to look for a strawberry I could look for your rabbit instead.

triplets · 19/03/2004 18:13

Gosh I am not that clever and haven`t got a diggie camera!
