cbeebies website - bbc.co.uk then should be able to find it from there. i know this because I was at my friend's house today and she had printed out the "coloured houses" song and we sat there singing along to the TV with it. Us, not the kids

spacemonkey · 10/03/2004 19:57

There's a Balamory Karaoke on the cbeebies website

Janstar · 10/03/2004 19:57

Those songs drive me mad all day, going round in my head - they're infuriatingly catchy.

Thanks so much for getting the coloured houses song into my head again

spacemonkey · 10/03/2004 19:58

Each of the songs on the karaoke has a "Print Words" link

Agree about the annoying catchiness js!

marthamoo · 10/03/2004 19:59

Oh that karaoke is WICKED!

JanHR · 10/03/2004 20:00

I was too slow, I had just looked on the Cbeebies website when I saw all the replies posted

spacemonkey · 10/03/2004 20:06

I am so sad. I sit and watch balamory with my colleague at lunchtime - no kids in sight

Paula71 · 10/03/2004 20:51

You mean you don't know them off by heart already leander? That Cbeebies site is great!

I totally embarrased myself in Tesco by once singing (under my breath but still audible) the Josie Jump song! I don't sing chart songs now, I sing Cbeebies, Dora and Blues Clues, much to the joy of ds twins who sing along.

All together now....

Whats the story in Balamory
Wouldn't you like to know

Does anyone else make up their own alternative versions of the songs? There's plenty of scope for the song beginning with "I'm PC Plum..."

leander · 10/03/2004 21:05

I knew I could count on you lot,It's brilliant.Coppertop I do exactley the same thing but my ds was starting to say "mummy plummy doesn't say that" and he is only 2!!!!

I have passed many a happy hour on the Balamory Karaoke page. Now all I need to do is teach dd how to use the mouse herself...

Have you tried the Tweenies songs too? There are tons of them.

Davros · 11/03/2004 07:41

So its not only me who often has that cod country & western song going round in my head "I'm PC Plum and I like it up the ....."! Saw a letter in Radio Times this week from someone asking where Balamory is and if they can take their kids there! Its filmed in Tobermory, capital of the Isle of Mull by the way. It also says you can win a trip there in the, wait for it, new Balamory magazine that's coming out on 28 April, get your orders in girls!

Ah yes - a Balamory mag - DP will get a subscription in straight away (to replace his Angelina one). We spent a happy time on Sunday, the whole family around the laptop singing along with Balamory Karaoke - in fact it was the only time ds (and me & dp!) was happy all day!

motherinferior · 11/03/2004 08:41

DD now calls me to say kindly that PC Plum is singing his song and I may join in if I want to.
