myself, dh, ds1 and ds2 have lived next door to dh parents for the last 10 years and tonight we have said our goodbyes because they are moving to spain.
ds1 and ds2 have both gone to bed sobbing and i don't know how to make them better
their dog (who is also off to spain) was ds1 best friend and is adding to the heartache.
it's the end of an era and it's sad

Have you looked into options like Yahoo Messenger with a webcam, so they can keep in face-to-face contact? I know it's not the same, but at least if your little ones can see their grandparents it will help - and think of all the fab holidays you can have in Spain.

Any major change like this is a wrench, but you will get through it, hope your PILs enjoy their new life in the sun.
