sorry nutty, im such an airhead, i completly forgot to tell you that i hadnt spoken to them as they were off on hols for a fortnight and then i went off to dublin for hen weekend and have only just caught up with myself.
i have to ring them tonight actually about some maintenance that needs doing- I PROMISE i will ask about available properties, i sometimes have to leave a message on thier phone so if so, ill put a message on here for you and let you know the outcome.
sorry again mate, having kids has sapped my body of valuable brain cells , i cant even remember what i had for tea last night!!

nutcracker · 10/03/2004 16:04

Thanks Emma. Did you have a nice time in Dublin ???

i swear, i hav'nt laughed so much in ages, it was nice to get away from "everyday" life and get pissed up with my mates, 9 of us went and my belly was hurting all weekend from laughing.
we all went out on the sat night dressed as "playboy" bunnies!!!

nutcracker · 10/03/2004 16:12

God, bet you weren't short of attention

Glad you had a good time.
I went out with my mate last week for the first time in about 7 years. Was scared stiff before hand, but really enjoyed it.

Just wanted your opinion on something emma.

There is a house boarded up (council) on Warren Farm Rd, it's on the first corner, on the left hand side as you come down off Hawthorn Rd.
Anyway i just wanted to know what you thought of that particular bit of Kingstanding. Also, what are the primary schools like nearest to it.

hi mate, first of all im still waiting for landlord to reply to my message, so i should have some info for you on that this week!
that house is about 100 metres from my house ( round the corner)
out of all of kingstanding its better to be up this end than down by twickenham road/ finchley road end.
ive never had any trouble here at all, i know which house you mean, the neighbours around it are nice as well( plus they are quite big houses, bigger than mine, they have 2 reception rooms ,upstairs bathroom and 3 beds)
the closest school is kingsthorne (i went there) when i was there it was an excellent school, i think its average now. the best school in the area for ofsted results is twickenham rd primary, which would be about a 10 min walk , but you would be in the catchment area for it.
ive got to go to work now so ill be back on this evening, sorry its a bit rushed, if i can think of anything else ill put it on.
hope this helps x

nutcracker · 14/03/2004 12:50

Thanks so much for that Emma. I had a feeling it was near to you. The house itself sounds ideal for us, although we have been refused a property before that had two reception rooms as they felt we only needed one.
The problem at the moment is that i'm not down for kingstanding, and if i put myself down for there, then there is no garuntee that i'll be offered it anyway.
Was thinking that i could try to make them think i'm doing them a favour by coming off the list for this area. I have to be careful though as i only get one offer.
Don't suppose you know if they have central heating do you ???
My mom wasn't impressed when i told her about it, but i think there are worse parts of Kingstanding.
Thanks for the help.

sorry nutty, landlady said all her properties are full at the moment.
that house on warren farm rd is no. 38 if you were going to contact the housing office about it.
if you need any more info just let me know.

nutcracker · 15/03/2004 17:03

Thanks for asking anyway Emma. I haven't decided what to do about Warren Farm Rd yet.
Have had a funny day today regarding housing. Have just started a new nuttys house thread.

Thanks again

Hi sorry to jump onto this post...I am looking for advice on the kingstanding area. I currently live in pype hayes and I love it here... but I need to move to an area that is in better catchment areas for secondary schools.
I have seen a house on kingsland road b44. its nearer the great barr side I think.
as it goes, kingstanding is not a great area and has a reputation for high crime so I am a bit anxious of making the move.
please could you advise on what this part of ks is like please?
thankyou

Tiredemma · 06/03/2018 22:13

Blimey 2004????

Sorry I'm no longer in Ks.
Not sure what kingslsnd rd is like now sorry
