ds3 still wears 12-18 month stuff and he'll be 3 next month!

some of his shorts are 9-12 months and fit perfectly now.

nutcracker · 06/08/2006 18:17

Ds is nearly 4 and I only just outgrown some of his 18-24mth t'shirts and shorts LOL.

nutcracker · 06/08/2006 18:17

'I only just outgrown'

WTF am I on today

I mean 'he's only just outgrown'

Gobbledigook · 06/08/2006 18:18

Mine are in shorts from last summer Misdee! Bargain!

Ds1 is 5.5 and half his clothes are 2-3 or 3 yrs! he's on the smaller size for his age but he's not that small!

southeastastra · 06/08/2006 18:19

my son has just had a growth spurt and i've had to buy tons of new clothes, it sort of happened overnight !

Mercy · 06/08/2006 18:20

dd is still wearing a skirt and a pair of cropped trousers from Next which are size 1.5/2 years. She was 5 in April!

Most of her clothes are for 3/4 year olds.

LadyTophamHatt · 06/08/2006 18:21

Actually now I think about Ds3 has a pair of 12-18 month shorts that ds2 was wearing on holiday and he's 5!!!

Ds3 is little but ds2 isn't, he's average weight, and height so god know how big they expect 12-18 month olds to be!!

Nemo1977 · 06/08/2006 18:22

ds still wearing 18mth stuff and is 3 in oct..only reason he cant wear 12-18 is because he is very tall. Skinny enough but they look like 3/4 pants..lol

Gobbledigook · 06/08/2006 18:22

Oh next sizes are ridiculous. The paed consultant said ds3 was big the other day (we were there for ds1 but ds3 was with me). He's 2 in a coupleof weeks and the Next trousers he had on were 9-12 months!

roisin · 06/08/2006 18:22

DS2 is 7 but is a skinny little waif, with a tiny bum! He's quite tall/lanky for his age, so does outgrow trousers quite quickly, but some of his shorts are about 5 years old and still fit

He needed new pants recently, and wouldn't let me buy age 4-5 (which would fit), so I had to buy age 6-7, so now I call him baggy pants!

Gobbledigook · 06/08/2006 18:23

That's it roisin - ds1 has grown in height but is still skinny so you can get away with shorts! Very handy for the budget!

Mercy · 06/08/2006 18:23

Sea, yes dd wore a pair of trousers the other day which i bought maybe 4 or 5 months ago. She wore them during the summer term; still rather baggy around the bum etc but suddenly they are a good inch and a half above her ankle bones.

misdee · 06/08/2006 18:47

yes dd3 is skinny but getting tall.

most of her stuff is Next, mainly passed on down by her 2 older sisters and 3 older girl cousins. she was in a t-shirt the other day taht belong to dd1, it has been passd round all 6 of the girls and still has plenty of wear left. Sparkly Gothkat laughed when she saw it on her, now thats good value for money!!
