For my delightful baby boy who will get his beeehind into gear and come out this week

Didn't buy very much this time because we had so much from dd but am thinking theres something missing now.
Ok have got....
Carry cot
Sheets
Pushchair
Car Seat
Bath, top n tail thingy
1 pack of nappies (har har de ha, they'll last long)
cotton wool
body suits
Sleep suits
muslins

Everything else isn't important but those few things seem to be priority.

Keep a couple of peppermint teabags in your bag just in case you end up having a csection (you never know.) Trapped wind seems to be a real side effect in the early hours! I would have killed for some peppermint tea after I had my first, it was really painful and put pressure on the scar.

Frizbe · 06/08/2006 21:48

Ibruprofen!

Bucketsofdinosaurs · 06/08/2006 21:51

Bouncy/rocker/recliner seat thingy, pref one you can rock with both feet (less tiring than one.) Less hot and sweaty for baby than a carseat and essential for sicky babies (again, you never know .)

Nipple shields just in case you end up at 3am with cracked nipples having being trying to feed all night.

In your hospital bag have some food. I got back to the ward at 11pm, having been in labour since 3am and starving. The hospital kitchen was shut so I was ever so grateful for the packet of digestives dh had secreted. A friend once compared giving birth to running a marathon with no training.

Well I'm going in now so whatever I forget will just have to wait lol
