Take plenty of change, plenty of carrier bags, know what prices you want to charge in advance. Take flask and snacks (can be expensive buying from vans). If its a popular sale and weather is good get there early (we usually aim for around 7am). Hope you enjoy it we always love it.

Hi lunarx, if its anything like our local car boot there are always the 'regulars' there very early, rooting before you've had chance to set up! They'll try and offer you next to nothing for things, then go sell them on their stalls for more (like, what you wanted in the first place)! Best thing to do is stand your ground and say no, someone else is bound to come along later and buy it for the asking price. If a few different people walk away, THEN reduce it. Don't let them con you!! If they want it that badly, they'll pay up. Enjoy it!!

To take..

Sturdy table, pasting tables collapse.
Poly bags,
Float,
Binbags, to put on ground under boxes and stuff and for bigger items.
Clear plastic sheet if possible, to cover stock when raining.
Food and drink.
Chairs as perching on the back of the car gets a bit sore.
Parasol can be handy if you can sit it high enough not to poke eyes out. It can sit in a base just behind the table, covers you and most precious stock. Makes you stand out too.
