Is it dangerous if an electrical plug is buzzing?

The plug for the extension lead that has the tv, video, dvd and skybox on it is buzzing loudly. Anyone know what that might be? I've switched it off for now.

overloaded, overheated = dangerous

aarrgghhhh - turn it off before you blow the tv up!!
