just checked the weather for the next few days and its going to be hot hot hot!! where has the typical english weather gone???? a few days sunny and then some cloud and rain to cool down. We didn't get any of the predicted storms/rain at all, its too much and I can't see much green grass at all now its yellow.

Where abouts do you live?

and where did you check the weather? We got a storm yesterday that lasted about two hours. I live in Enfield.

So do I!!! The garden doesn't look green and inviting just brown and tired . We don't actually have a hose-pipe ban here but I feel guilty about using one....so I just left DS#2 out in the garden with the hose trickling gently to 'fill his pool' and accidentally forgot to go and turn it off for a while. I'm sure I heard the grass sighing with relief.

Anyway I'm a freak who actually quite likes rain.

me too I love it, wishfully dreaming about running round the back garden in the pouring rain now

hmm, u are lucky. We had bad storms the night before last waking us up. Yhen yesterday afternoon all over again - all my washing got wet and I had to drive home in torrential downpour!
All the kids were in the dip in the road round the corner from here, waiting for cars to go through the three foot of water and soak them!

I've had to empty the pools, it keeps rainign and they are getting full of green algae type stuff.

lol! I have washing in the tumble drier, on the line, in the ironing basket and in the basket to go IN the machine. I really shouldn't be here either. But the boys are asleep, and I'm making hte msot of a chance for a sit down.
