that I can't find shorts for my DS anywhere.
I have been to about 4 shops today and it seems that 4 year old boys don't wear shorts! I found plenty for 6 years and over, also found some for up to 2 years. Luckily we have some from last year so he doesn't have to wear trousers all the time.

I have a couple of days left to get some before we go on holiday. Am going to try sports worl tomorrow. I wonder if Asda do any in his size?

have you got a sports soccer near you?

cyan · 26/07/2006 20:15

i went into next today and they still have a load of sale bits left, there were loads of older kids stuff left, alot of his half price too.

hopefully asda will have some shorts im pretty sure i have seen some in there recently. what about primark?

VeniVidiVickiQV · 26/07/2006 20:16

Not just me then?

Haven't been able to find shorts for DS or DD this year. Very few around. All jeans and combats - not for this weather imo.

ilovecaboose · 26/07/2006 20:17

I found the same problem with ds (in age 2 clothes). Asda didn't ahve none, nor did anywhere else until my mum found some in tescos in durham. This was about april though when shops are usually full of summer clothes. Woolies only had them as part of expensive outfits I think.

psychomum5 · 26/07/2006 20:18

i am surprised that there are no shorts left....actually that should be the other way round considering the shops stupid obsession with selling winter stuff in summer and vice versa.

seriously tho, mine have shorts from Adams, sports world, Next (if there are any left sans sale), tesco, sainsbury and asda's.

Oooh....and H&M and gap too if your budget stretches to gap

HTH

i went into hennes today and they didnt really have any shorts. i suppose it depends on where you live, i was in harrow and brent x today and both nexts had shorts for older kids left. (im really not a shopaholic

tried Primark today, hardly any clothes for boys at all let alone shorts. No H&Ms or Gap near me, Asda is a short drive away so will try them if no luck tomorrow at Sports World. I ordered some bits onine from Next sale, but there wasn't any shorts in DS's size.
I might just end up buying some in Spain, surely we can get some there!

Got DS loads from H&M, longish but very light material & have washed brilliantly.

He is only 2 tho.

psychomum5 · 26/07/2006 20:31

ahhhhh.....I see now.....you short shorts.

DUH to me......sorry.

Nope, friad I have had exact same trouble, not found 'proper' shorts anywear....my DC's are in 'long shorts'. In fact tho, I have gone down a size or too so they really do look like shorts as opposed to 'trousers that have had an arguement with your feet' look!

Posey · 26/07/2006 20:33

I had the same problem. Could only get thick knee length combat types.
Anyway my mum got me some in Matalan. 2 pairs for £3. Perfect!

kid · 26/07/2006 20:35

I almost got DS a couple of pairs today in a size 6-7 even though he is only 4. I decided against it when I held them up against him, there would have looked ridiculous!
I don't mind long shorts, I would have settled for them. I don't want tracksuit trousers or jeans which was all I found today.

I'm glad its not just me that can't find any
