Why are catalogue models always so skinny?

Just been looking though the Additions catatlogue for summer gear especially swimwear. A bit early I know but we are going abroad for Easter. Deeply depressed as I tried on a bikini as we are going somewhere hot. Why can't they show normal lumpy, bumpy people like me in catalogues so I know what I look like before I try it on after seeing those perfect looking models in them. Never mind, there is always a sarong.

People don't buy if the models are lumpy - sad but true. As a lumpy person myself I recommend the sarong Patterns distract the eye from lumps, as do cocktails

Well we are going all inclusive so I reckon I will soon lose my inhibitions

They've never got stretch marks either. I could never wear a bikini again cos of stretch marks. I have one that goes stright through my belly button, and a doctor once said "what did you have done there". She thought it was a scar from an operation

Presumably stretch marks could be airbrushed out.

I might be speaking too soon (with ten weeks to go) but I don't have any stretchmarks just acres of white flesh. Am planning a holiday for when baby is about 5/6 weeks old - but have just realised that I'm going to have oodles of post-natal fat on all the photos.
