What can I do with DD Swimming Badges?

My 3 year DD has earned her first swimming badge and I'm sooo proud of her. I just don't know what to do with it! My mum used to sew ours onto our swimming cossies but the badge is huge and her coosie so small, and she'll grow out of it in next to no time time. What do you do with them? I thought about buying her a towelling hoodie and sewing tham onto that. Any other ideas

Either

admire them for 24 hours and then chuck 'em in a drawer like I do.

Or

My Mum used to sew mine in a tracksuit top, then unpick them and sew them all on to the next top etc. DD now has my top - aged 9 yrs with badges everywhere, its is genuine retro/vintage and she loves it.

I notice that quite a few children have a swimming towel with them all sewn on.

PS Congrats to your dd

Yup - swimming towel with them all on in our house too...

Or the fabric sports bag with them on (but most are waterproof bags now, so doesn't work as well...)

sew onto swimming bag - more practical than having them on towel and she still gets to flash them at the pool.
Or pin on the notice board in her room.

Cograts to you DD.

With my kiddies and any of their certificates, I frame them and you can then put the badge in the frame. Then hang on the bedroom wall.

Only problem I have now is that mine got medals with their last Ballet certificates......not so easy to frame.
They are now in a display cabinet...

I made a huge felt teddy bear and sewed on all my swimmming, brownie and guide badges.

Grrr - can I have a quick rant about swimming badges...?

DS1 (6) is doing well at swimming and got his level 5. He's not very good at some other sports (e.g. football, at which one of his friends, X, is unfortunately brilliant)) so we always make a point of saying 'yes, but you're good at swimming).

So he proudly took his badge into school for their 'show & tell' session. 'Well done' said his teacher, 'does anyone else have any swimming badges?'
'oh, yes' pipes up so called friend X, 'I have level 8!'. DS came home really upset....

Anyway, I found out the next day, X hasn't even got level 3 yet..... little liar...

you can get a folder that keeps all the badges and certificates in them from the company that makes them - there's a phone number on the back of the certificate.
