What colour...

Me and my husband are (seriously) having a repetitive argument over what colour we should paint our new front room. It's very small with low ceilings - it's a cottage.

I want to keep it very light, whites and natural wood but my husband wants a colour on the walls. He doesn't feel white is practical because of the children and wants it to feel warm. He literally will not have it white and we can't compromise on colour.

Any suggestions?!!!

My vote is for green, paleish green with Overtly Olive thrown in somewhere :)

Pure white can be a bit cold, why not try a warm off white in a wipeable paint?

we're in a shall cottage, beams, log burner etc, our walls are cream with dark framed pictures and paintings for the warmer / dramatic effect so to speak! much better than white which as has been said above can be write stark.
