tax and NI question

I'm thinking of doing a couple hours work a week and wouldn't be earning much ie no more than 30pound a week, would I still need to pay tax and NI or is there a threshold

No, you need to earn somewhere around £80 before you pay tax and NI.

That is true for NI and assuming you have ordinary tax code.

If you have a different code for any reason it might effect the tax situation.
