I'm stuck for 1 clue in a quiz thing for the local museum fundraiser.
Example 1901 QV dies in J Answer Queen Victoria dies in January.
Question I'm stuck on
1947 CD creates the "HGS" - tried Christian Dior, Human Genome Sequence allsorts to no avail. Looked through Wiki, Googled & my brain's numb. Figured I'd MN it as a last resort.
Can anyone solve it?
TIA lots.

I will ask my mother
She has a mighty quiz brain, when she passes away we will have to beat the brain to death with a big stick.

Will get back to you

I can only come up with
Christian Dior creates the Hour Glass Silhouette

"Christian Dior introduced the "New Look" in 1947. The hourglass silhouette was produced in the form of an A-line skirt that emphasized the cinched waist and bellowed out, allowing women to walk freely."

Beaten to it by bubble - that's the only thing I can think of too.

Genius WWB! It has to be one of the strangest kidnappings ever.

Anyway, Jbck - anymore? I love quizzes even though I'm useless at them!
