Hi
Did anyone else go to the CGTV auditions this weekend (7th Dec) at the Hammersmith Novotel?
They said that the select 30-40 out of the 300 kids that they see. I reckon they select everyone in the hope that you'll pay the $5000 to send your kid to LA for a week. If 200 people sign up, they've made themselves an easy $1m.
My kid got "the call" the following morning to say that they had made it. Did yours??

I think DH has photos of him standing next to the Ramsey Street Road sign :plots to run very expensive program(me) which includes a trip to the Ramsey Street sign to meet agents from the other side of the world:

FuckYouChrisAndThatHorse · 28/06/2014 11:52

Envy of those who've been to Ramsay Street. You must absorb the acting skills just walking those pavements.

That's worth $5000 of anyone's money.

Devere, you made me :o you're quite right. It's an industry known for its morality and social responsibility. I take it all back.

How dare I ask about the legalities of attending the 'program'!

I've always tried to live my life by Jim Carey's example, but sometimes its hard.

AlpacaPicnic · 28/06/2014 12:13

I only came here to read Chris being FIRM AND CYNICAL.

This is a thing that is all OUR FAULT AND THE FAULT OF THE OTHER FYFERS.

Now I feel the urge to RANDOMLY TYPE IN SHOUTY CAPITALS.

And I like it

I knew an Adrian once. He was a tool.

FuckYouChrisAndThatHorse · 28/06/2014 12:19

It's true. I used to be a complete pushover. Too nice for my own good, and now look at the monster you have created, alpaca :o

Poor Adrian just wants to do something for the kiddies.

Won't someone please think of the children? Maybe they want to regularly do long haul flights to be met with visa issues and rejections.

None of you skeptics thought of that, did you?

Beehatch · 28/06/2014 12:22

Adrian ATE my BABIES and it was GOOD VALUE!!

AlpacaPicnic · 28/06/2014 12:26

I like you being a monster!
I'll never apologise. I'm sorry but that's just the way I am...

FuckYouChrisAndThatHorse · 28/06/2014 13:08

Alpaca, :) I won't go changing.

Petula, and there is that familiar POSTING STYLE and love for Adrian :o

Fabulous.

Adrian, look, self-googling and self-aggrandising and accusing me of having a penis will make you go blind.

Methinks the lady doth protest too much.

BoreOfWhabylon · 28/06/2014 13:14

Oooh look - IT'S ADRIAN demonstrating his acting skillz!

FuckYouChrisAndThatHorse · 28/06/2014 13:22

Bore, amazing! Those cupcakes are dead to me too Angry

saintlyjimjams · 28/06/2014 14:54

It's a huge opportunity for kids, with talent, to be trained at a high level by Disney and Nickelodeon celebrities

TRAINING from Disney and Nickelodeon "celebrities"? My brain is turning somersaults at the thought of such an AMAZING OPPORTUNITY

PigletJohn · 28/06/2014 14:59

looking at the sample clip, he is curiously unconvincing and over-emphatic. I wonder if he has mostly worked onstage?

Pagwatch · 28/06/2014 15:09

Is everyone else reading Adrian and hearing Sly Stallone in Rocky ..

Aidriannnnnnnn

FuckYouChrisAndThatHorse · 28/06/2014 15:10

Pag :o

Glad I'm not the only one! Up thread I said summat similar.

Pagwatch · 28/06/2014 15:14

FuckYou

Grin Sorry. I missed that amidst all the RANDOM SHOUTING!

FuckYouChrisAndThatHorse · 28/06/2014 15:23

:o

I'm just glad I'm not alone in my thought processes.

It is a very CONFUSING AND DISCONCERTING posting style. I'm not sure it's necessary for EMPHASIS!

saintlyjimjams · 28/06/2014 15:29

He's a jobbing actor on US TV www.imdb.com/name/nm0704590/

I had a look at the Facebook page. The camp looks fun tbh - if marketed as an expensive, fun, kid's acting camp held in Hollywood I'd have no issues with it. It's the bullshit about it being a step towards LANDING a TOP job and a being taken on by a TOP LA AGENCY.

Anyone can apply to a UK agent if they want to, you don't need to pay someone. Although lots of kid's parts in professional theatre shows are cast via open auditions (so no need to pay any of your wages to an agent), you can even get film work without an agent if that's what floats your boat. None of these routes are particularly likely to lead onto fame (who wants that for their kid anyway?) but it might be fun for the sort of child who likes this type of thing. It'll give you more chance of success than paying some random chap in LA a pile of cash. And they'll learn a lot from being in professional productions (not least seeing how people make a living out of acting and all the other things they they have to do as well - the best lesson Adrian could provide would probably be about running holiday camps to pay the bills between jobs).

Pagwatch · 28/06/2014 15:35

Well if I had known he was Paramedic Rivera (uncredited) on CSI I would have signed up straight away.
Do you think Zack or Cody give talks?

saintlyjimjams · 28/06/2014 15:36

Adrian talking about his program(me) and the SECRET AUDITION TECHNIQUE

saintlyjimjams · 28/06/2014 15:48

I'm getting a bit Adrian obsessed Grin he's got 178K followers on Twitter. That's more than Bradley James (149K). Now I'd DEFINITELY pay 5k for acting classes from Bradley.

Jux · 28/06/2014 16:23

Adrian is going to make the impossible possible. I'm very happy about that as I really really really want a time machine.

NormaStanleyFletcher · 28/06/2014 16:29

Loving this thread.

saintlyjimjams · 28/06/2014 16:37

Actually sod the acting classes, I'd pay 5K just to stroke Bradley.

FuckYouChrisAndThatHorse · 28/06/2014 16:58

:o whilst I was watching that last clip dh wandered in the room and said, "That Adrian reminds me of someone." And wandered out again.

Five minutes later he came flying back in, "I've remembered who he reminds me of, Gary Johnston!"

He's not wrong

saintlyjimjams · 28/06/2014 19:37
Grin

I'd pay for a masterclass from him
