Little black fly thingy's!!!!

All over my windowsills ,does anyone know what they are called?They only seem to be around when it's hot.

Thunder flies or fruit flies

I hate them all

I thought i had imagined them being called thunder flies, i hate them ,just as i wipe the window sills they are back on them and if they get on your skin they are difficult to remove!

I have a bigger flying ants problem ATM.

oh charliecat thats worse ,they are vile things!

flying ants appear ONE day a year so just go round stamping on them like a mad woman!! they are off trying to find new nest to procreate!

nearly ate one running down the road earlier...although why I had my mouth open I dont know

Where are they coming from? One of our classrooms is full of them - you honestly have to shake yourself off when you come out and get someone to clear your back. Yuk.
