Rochdale/Oldham/bury

a friend of mine is moving back to the UK and her dh will be working in rochdale by the looks of things. anyone know of any decent houses for sale on the offchance ?? will look on rightmove as well but my laptop not playing nicely today so thought i would try a bit of a long shot just in case ! plus is it a nice area as dont know it personally. upto 300K by the way

hi,
i can't help with any houses for sale but i live in the next town to rochdale and personally think rochale is very rough.
i would look for houses in Norden or Bamford or maybe healey dell hich isn't far.

hi there,

Origionally coming from Rochdale myself, i too wouldnt choose to live there as there are some rough parts, although as ff says Bamford and Norden are quite nice, although if i were to move back up there i would probably move somewhere a little bit out of the way, i cant really comment on bury as all i know about it is that it has an ok market lol

I'm moving too and am looking at Norden as dp works in Oldham so tell her if she moves she'll have a new friend to find her feet with.

thanks for info - im sure there are some nice villagey type places around oldham so will take her over there when she visits
