Houseing problem, Eviction notice....

I have been to the council today because our landlord wants to move back into our rented property & we have no where to go, i had to take an eviction notice in to them, so my landlord sent me a letter just stateing that the property will no longer be avakliable after such & such date etc etc.

Anyway the lady at the council said this was not an "offical" eviction & i would not be classed as homeless until i had this.

My question is does anyone know what an "offical" eviction letter is ment to be is the section 21? or am i totally wrong?

I have no idea where we will end up... the problem is we live in Southampton and it's made up of lots and lots of little suburbs which would mean different schools. I don't drive and it would be hell getting a bus 4 times a day with 3 kids!! There don't seem to be many council places too close to where we are now and what there are seem to be very sought after so very unlikely to be empty. I will def keep you posted though and if I discover any tips or tricks to help you out along the way I'll give you a shout!

Has anyone on here in this position written to there MP? i remember someone telling me to do this just wondering what people think & if its worth ir or a waste of time?
