A quote of his which has been included in his school report reads "I want to make a really big explosion, so I need to mix lots of things together - look the vinegar really works!"

At least you got something vaguely personal to him - I just got my ds's report and you would have no idea if he was good, bad or indifferent from reading it, basically a pre-prepared booklet with ticks to show when he achieved certain "goals". I'm almost hankering after the bad old days when we did "summer tests" and you got marks out of a hundred - at least you knew where you stood!

Do you think he has been reading the "Good Housekeeping" threads?

His repost has the golas & tick boxes but large chunks of personal comment. It's lovely
