My childminder has let me down HUGELY today.

I asked a several weeks ago if she could take on my two on a Monday afternoon soon because the friend who was doing it for me was struggling to cope. She already has them on a Tues and Thurs.

She said yes but not until Mid July as the other baby she looks after is leaving then.

i asked her again today and she said "oh, er the other baby isnt leaving now. Well, she is leaving for 5-6 weeks but then coming back. And I dont know what to charge you for that etc etc".

I told her to have a think about charges, said i didnt want to put her on the spot etc etc.

Today was also the VERY FIRST DAY my two or one of my two didnt cry when i dropped them off.

She then tells DP when he went to collect this evening that she cant look after them on a Monday after all - after I have already told my friend she neednt worry.

Dont know what to do. My kids have spent 2 months getting used to her and i am going to have to change now.

Bollocks.

Its my children being messed around. Thats why I am so upset. If it was just me i wouldnt be as bothered.

Poor things are going to be mucked about left right and centre. Hate it hate it hate it.

Im only working because we need me to. I would rather be at home quite frankly. So when this sort of thing comes up it hits me right in the heart.

thank you for the sympathy

VeniVidiVickiQV · 13/07/2006 21:34

Aww bless thank you.

I highly doubt they will change my hours. But you never know. I always put myself up to cover weekend shifts so they might return the favour.
